How To Transfer Calls On Yealink Phone:
The Yealink VoIP phone has the ability to transfer calls to internal extensions and numbers as well as the option to transfer to external numbers.
This allows you to pick up a call for a colleague if they are unavailable and then transfer it to them when they are.
It also allows you to transfer it to a colleage if they are not even in the same location as you.
How To Transfer Calls On Yealink To Internal Or External Numbers/Extensions:
1 - To transfer a call on the Yealink phone (T20P, it is fairly similiar transfer process on most IP phones) you must make sure you do not put the caller on hold.
1.a - Putting the caller on hold and then pressing TRAN (Transfer button on the right hand side located next to the directional arrows) will cut the call.
1.b - Whilst the call active press TRAN this will automatically put the caller on hold for you.
2 - The next step to transfer a call is to identify whether the person you are transferring to is available or not.
2.a - The easiest way is to just ask the person but if they are not in the same office or department as you then you can do a mid transfer call.
2.b - This allows you to call the person you are transferring to before you actually transfer.
2.c - To do this, make sure the 'Tran:' appears on your phone's screen, then dial the number E.G. 111 or 01234 567 890 or 07987 654 321
2.d - Press 'OK' (Located in the middle of the directional keys)
3 - This will then show '2/2' on the right hand side of the screen, meaning you have still got the original caller on hold and are currently active on another call.
4 - Once you have verified whether or not the person is available press TRAN again to transfer the call over.
4.a - Or press the 'x' (Located underneath the directional pad) to cancel the transfer and speak to the original caller.
